Caleb Swann is a multidisciplinary artist whose current focus lies in both traditional and experimental photography. He received a BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute in San Francisco, California. His work has been shown in galleries throughout the United States.
Caleb’s work often begins as small observations, turns into obsessions, and results in thousands of similar images collected together in order to find connections, quirks, and otherwise hidden pieces of humanity. Expressions of the mundane that once noticed, you can’t stop noticing.
Caleb travels throughout the United States meticulously documenting these special interests. When stationary, he slows down and takes advantage of studio space to explore and experiment with materials and ideas, generally transitioning from looking outward to looking inward.
The through line in all of Caleb's work is the relationships between spaces and humans, natural or contrived, and how they inform each other.
